The world is transitioning from fossil fuel to green energy. The Western world sees this as a positive thing, and has a good feeling about it. New wind parks are being erected across Scandinavia, all of them in the windy, mountainous areas that most of society would call ‘wilderness`, but which are, in fact, at the core of Sámi culture.

This good feeling is perceived as a dark cloud by my people, the Sámi.
My aim is to show how these dark clouds on the horizon are a future threat to the reindeer-herding families.

I aim to visually manifest the price my people must pay for green energy. My work of art – a video installation – bears the same as the fundamental philosophy of my people: “Leave no Trace”.
